Sharing our stories and positive experiences of life with others are a good way of encouraging one another. A few words about how we were able to overcome dire circumstances can help others going through the same situation know that there is still hope. We have all been through good experiences, and have also had our share of bad experiences as well.
Sometimes during the tough times, it may have seemed that the battle would not end. Whenever we come out of a challenging situation victoriously, we should remember that we could not have done it without God on our side. In showing our appreciation, we should stretch forth our hands and give God a hug. Thanking Him for seeing us through and helping us to overcome the obstacle(s).
Stepping forward to make Jesus our Lord and Savior is the beginning of having an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. This does not mean that we will not go through rough roads or come across potholes that we have to jump over. What will give us hope in difficult times is the assurance that God has our backs, and He promised not to leave us or forsake us. Since we are in a relationship with God, we should ask Him questions about things we do not understand in our lives or sphere of influence. The Lord is faithful and He will show us, guide us, and reveal to us what may be causing the roadblocks in our lives. Everyone is different, and we come from different backgrounds. The way we all hear God or sense Him in our daily lives may be different. Each one of us needs to take time to be still in His presence and learn how He talks to us. God talks, and He desires to have intimacy with each one of us as a loving Father.
I pray that these testimonies will be a blessing to you and move you into deeper intimacy with our Heavenly Father. He is the God of the living, Mark 12:27.
